Combining intense action with a riveting narrative and the unique setting of a sandstorm ravaged Dubai, Spec Ops: The Line is unlike any other military shooter.

Gamers will blast their way through sandstorms with a variety of weapons and explosives, even using sand as a weapon to strategically bury enemies in their path. The squad-based action in Spec Ops: The Line is highlighted by an intelligent squad command system that allows players to tactfully take out insurgents as they advance into the heart of Dubai. In search of answers and survivors, players who experience the demo will tear through portions of two early chapters of Spec Ops: The Line. Playing as Captain Martin Walker, gamers add to the city’s destruction by engaging in action-packed firefights as they search for Colonel John Konrad and his missing battalion, The Damned 33rd. The single-player narrative unfolds within Dubai after a series of cataclysmic sandstorms cut the city off from the rest of the world. Players that download the demo will be introduced to the brutal action and combat of Spec Ops: The Line. The PC demo is 2GB in size and can be downloaded from Steam. Or a complete list of keyboard commands. As promised, 2K Games and Yager have released the PC demo of Spec Ops: The Line. Or the ability to customize controller settings. I'm actually a little annoyed that there isn't a simple "Use Mouse + Keyboard / Use Controller" setting. Alternatively, is there a way to make it so the controller's 'up' doesn't make the character walk backwards? (For example, the screen says 'Press A to Vault,' but there's no 'Vault' binding in the keyboard options so I still have no idea which key to use). Is there maybe a way to mod the game to display the keyboard instructions instead of the controller instructions? I know you can view the keyboard controls in the settings, but that's very little use. So I can't play it with a controller, I can't play it with the keyboard while I have a controller plugged in, and I can't unplug my controller because the XBOX wrapper is always active so it always thinks there's a controller plugged in. I'm not talking about the character's POV being inverted, I'm talking about the character's actual movement. And for some reason the "up" analog moves the character backwards, and the "down" analog moves him forward. After about ten minutes of trying to figure out which keys were which, I gave up and begrudgingly grabbed my controller from the living room. I'm trying to play on my keyboard, so "Press A to activate" means nothing to me.

and it's totally unplayable.Īll of the game's instructions use XBOX 360 icons. I bought this game a few weeks ago, and I just sat down to play it.
